Reptiles Manager

Another of our military brats, Paul was born at Laken Heath AFB, England. He started herping in the late 70s with pollywogs and frogs in North Carolina. For those of you that were thinking "Herping? should I be concerned about shaking his hand?," herping actually means catching and studying reptiles. In the early 80s, Paul moved to Georgia with his family and became a nature center groupie at Robins AFB, rounding up watersnakes, ratsnakes and snappers. Moving to Texas in the mid 80's he discovered bullsnakes and little ole Texas scorpions … charming hobby, must have really impressed the girls. Finally settling in Georgia, after a few more years, Paul took on a weekend job with Pet City in Warner Robins. There he got involved heavily with the Herp community (please note the definition of herping above). After meeting and hanging out with Reptile Rick (see Rick McCarthy), he learned of an opening with Finn's. Like "a chameleon on a fly" - Paul's exact words - he seized the opportunity. He has continued in the pet industry ever since - joining the Sun Pet family when Finn's merged in 2001.

Paul lives in Jackson, Ga. with his wife Paulette and his son, Julian, along with his dogs and collection of snakes.
